Words of Inspiration and Motivation

Words of Inspiration and Motivation

Dr. T. Berry Brazelton

"When we strengthen families, we ultimately strengthen the community. Our goal is that parents everywhere work with supportive providers, feel confident in their parenting role, and form strong, resilient attachments with their children. To help achieve this, providers must be responsive to parents, knowledgeable about child development, and eager to see every parent succeed."

"Every time you give a parent a sense of success or of empowerment, you're offering it to the baby indirectly. Because every time a parent looks at that baby and says 'Oh, you're so wonderful,' that baby just bursts with feeling good about themselves."

President Lyndon B. Johnson
"Once we considered education a public expense; we know now that it is a public investment."

Raymond Hernandez MS Ed.
Multi-Media Presentation
“I think my passion comes from wanting to make a difference. I truly believe that I’m not here to save the world, I’m her to just make a difference in the community I work in”.

  1. Thesha, I just read all your quotes. I like them all but the one from Hernandez is my favorite. I think it shows his dedication to the people all around him including the children that he helps.

  2. Thanks Elizabeth. I liked what Hernandez said too. When I first got into teaching I thought I could take on the world! LOL Now I realize that if I make a difference in one child's life that's what matters most.

  3. Thesha,
I really enjoyed your quotes by Brazelton, I love how he focuses on family. I believe that we need to be giving the tools to parents to help them and their families succeed and in turn the communities will benefit.

  4. Thesha I liked President Johnson's quote on education being an investment. When you start paying for college you realize this in a big way! Thanks for that nugget of truth
